Can I use these serums during pregnancy and breastfeeding?

We have found no specific studies on this as presumably, it’s ethically difficult to do. In cases where there isn’t any specific cause for concern, we advise people that it’s best to do whatever they feel most comfortable with.

Do serums go underneath or on top of moisturizer?

Our face serums are designed to be applied directly to clean skin, before applying moisturizer. We recommend letting it soak in for a few minutes before applying your favourite moisturizer over top.

How do you apply serums in a face routine?

Your skin routine should always be based around your skin type, specific skin needs and personal preference. In general, serums are most effective when applied to clean skin. Allow a few minutes for it to soak in and apply your favourite moisturizer over top.

For best results, we recommend using your serum of choice every morning and night before you apply your moisturizer. To keep things simple, we suggest sticking to one serum and one moisturizer per application, but if you have more than one of either on hand, you can alternate between them (for example, one in the AM and one in the PM) based on your skincare goals.

Can this serum be used around the eyes?

We like to keep things simple even if marketing can sometimes tell us otherwise and tries to convince us that we need a different product for every part of the body, and even different parts of the face. All our serums are gentle enough to be used anywhere you like, including the delicate skin of the eye area. However, we don’t recommend applying anything directly to your eyes or eyelids and suggest taking extra care with this area by applying serums around your orbital bone as the product can spread out and migrate a bit as it warms up to your body temperature. If any product does get into your eye, simply rinse with water.

Is Modified Argireline® Amplified Peptide a natural ingredient?

Argireline® Peptide consists of a group of natural amino acids, namely Arginine, Glytamine, Methionine and Acetylated Glutamic Acid. This means that the ingredient is naturally derived.

Is BeauActive® a natural ingredient?

Yes! BeauActive® (Hydroxystearic Acid) is naturally derived from Oleic Acid (Sunflower Oil) and is also the identical ingredient in fermented Ginseng. It’s also manufactured using Green Chemistry, which ensures it meets our sustainability commitments.

Where does the Bakuchiol you use come from?

Our Bakuchiol is naturally extracted from the Psoralea Corylifolia plant. We highly value the ethical sourcing of our ingredients and understand that there’s some concern around this plant potentially being an endangered species. We source ours from India where Psoralea Corylifolia is overly abundant.

According to the CITES (the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora), Psoralea Corylifolia is not on the list of endangered species. We don’t just ensure this ingredient is ethically sourced, we’ve also taken the time to ensure it’s extracted in an ethical manner.

How is Amplified Anti-Ageing Peptide Active Serum with Argireline® different than Bakuchiol Anti-Ageing Active Serum?

While both of our anti-ageing serums address the signs of ageing, they do this with different active ingredients that work in very different ways. Bakuchiol works by prompting surface skin cells to turn over making way for fresh, new cells, revealing smoother, more youthful, supple skin. It also helps to stimulate production while also hampering its breakdown. Argireline® Amplified Peptide deeply penetrates the skin to target wrinkles at their source while also improving skin radiance, firmness, elasticity, and facial volume. It helps to diminish and prevent the formation of expression lines by targeting them at their source.

What are the benefits of Vitamin C?

Vitamin C is an amazing ingredient, but there are many different forms of it out there and they’re not all created equal. We only use the type of Vitamin C called Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate, and one of the main reasons is because it’s extra stable. This means that it’ll be fresh and effective when it meets your skin – very important! Unstable forms can oxidize quickly rendering its good properties null and void, making it a total waste MOO-lah.

Vitamin C is a well-known, fantastic antioxidant, and in skincare products, it fights free radicals that cause skin ageing. But it also brightens skin tone, firms and improves skin texture, and lightens dark spots and discolouration over time.

Is Sepiwhite (Undecylenoyl Phenylalanine) a natural ingredient?

Sepiwhite is a naturally derived ingredient and is certified by using agricultural organic raw materials and manufacturing processes that are clean and sustainable. It is a powerful lightening ingredient that is gentle on the skin and free of the side effects commonly encountered with effective ingredients like Hydroquinone.

Your serums have fragrances in them. Aren’t fragrances bad?

We designed our serums to be suitable for people with sensitive skin, but we also know that many people, including ourselves, enjoy having a fragrance in our skincare products. To give our serums their subtle scent without compromising its gentleness and non-irritating nature, we use a special hypoallergenic fragrant oil, a proprietary blend whereby each component in it is less than the EU allergy threshold. Also, it’s free from phthalates, which is a major concern in fragrances.

Are your serums made of milk?

We aren’t called MooGoo because our products are made with milk. Putting fresh milk into a skincare product and putting it on a shelf would not end well.

What is the pH level of your products?

Our serums are formulated to be slightly acidic, balanced to the pH of human skin at 5.5 to 6.0. pH is measured from 0 to 14 depending on how acidic or alkaline a substance is.

I have sensitive skin; will I react to your serums?

Everybody is different and what works for some will not for others, and some people have allergies to natural ingredients. We believe that natural ingredients are gentler on the skin and are particularly suitable for those with sensitivities. If you experience any skin issues, we always recommend doing a patch test before use.

Are your products tested on animals?

The only animals we use for testing are our own bodies. We never test on animals and will not export to countries that do.
